Denver ended the longest ban in the country
Colorado is the most interesting state in the country on this subject. Denver banned pit bull type dogs for more than thirty years, one of the longest-running breed bans anywhere in the United States, and it was finally ended and replaced with a breed-restricted license: the dog is registered, microchipped and permitted rather than prohibited. Aurora ended its own ban in the same period.
Colorado has no statewide preemption, so this is still a city-by-city question and a small number of Front Range municipalities keep restrictions of their own. If you’re anywhere in the Denver metro, look up your specific municipality rather than assuming the repeal covered you, because the metro is a patchwork of jurisdictions and the boundaries don’t follow the postal address.

Altitude, and why it suits this dog
Denver is at 5,280 feet and a good deal of the Front Range sits higher. Thin air is harder on a short-muzzled dog than on a long-nosed one, for the same airway reason that heat is. A puppy leaving Sedona at 4,300 feet is already part of the way acclimated, which is a genuine if minor advantage over one flown in from sea level.
Colorado winters aren’t a problem for this build of dog. Cold is far easier on them than heat, and a bully with any coat at all is comfortable in Denver in January. What does need managing is road salt on the pads and the fact that a dog this heavy on ice is a joint injury waiting to happen. Short lead, no running on packed snow for the first year while the growth plates close.
