What you get for $700
- A veterinary examination by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic before the puppy leaves. 45 Bell Rock Plaza, Sedona, AZ 86351, (928) 284-2840.
- DHPP, covering distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza and parvovirus, with a booster and canine influenza at ten weeks.
- Worming every two weeks from two weeks old until ten weeks.
- A written health record with the dates on it, traveling with the puppy.
- Enough of its current food to change over gradually rather than on day one.
- A takeback commitment for life. I’ll take back any dog I’ve bred, at any point in its life, with no time limit and no questions asked.

What isn’t included, stated plainly: I don’t screen or certify the parents. A general veterinary check and daily observation from birth is what happens here, and it’s all this site will ever claim. Exactly what I do and don’t do.
Choosing by size class
Buyers usually arrive knowing which size they want, and it’s the one thing worth settling before you look at faces.
- XL: 20 to 23 inches for a male, 80 to 120 pounds. The most searched class and the one most people mean by American Bully.
- Standard and classic: 17 to 20 inches, 50 to 80 pounds. The breed’s original proportions and, in my view, the easiest to live with.
- Pocket: under 17 inches for a male, 30 to 55 pounds. Same dog, shorter.
- XXL and micro: both marketing terms rather than classes. I’ve pages on both that say so.
Temperament varies more between individual puppies than between the classes, which is why it’s worth telling me about your household rather than only naming a size. More on temperament.
Getting one home
I meet buyers up to two hours out of Sedona at no charge, which covers Flagstaff, Prescott and most of the Phoenix metro.
Beyond that, a puppy travels by ground transport driven the whole way in a climate-controlled vehicle, or with a flight nanny who carries it in the cabin and hands it to you at arrivals. Never as cargo, at any distance, whatever an airline says it permits.
