There is 1 blue tri American Bully puppy for sale here right now, at $700. It’s uncommon in the breed. The premium the market attaches: high, sitting just below the merle coats. I charge $700 for every puppy regardless of coat, so none of that premium applies here.

Blue Tri puppies available now

This is the only blue tri puppy I’ve standing, and it’s $700 like everything else. Vet checked before it travels.

What makes a blue tri American Bully blue tri

Dilution plus tan points: d/d at the D locus over a black base, with at producing the tan markings and white spotting completing the third color.

How to tell it’s genuinely blue tri

Confused with lilac tri, and the mislabelling almost always runs blue-being-sold-as-lilac rather than the other way, because lilac fetches more. A blue tri is cleanly gray with no brown warmth in the pigment.

What blue tri costs, and what I charge

Commonly $2,500 to $5,000. It’s a diluted black with tan points, which isn’t a difficult combination to produce, and the price reflects two stacked fashions rather than two stacked difficulties.

Blue tri is the most popular of the non-merle tri combinations and it’s a good example of how the premiums in this breed stack rather than add: the blue commands a premium, the tri pattern commands a premium, and putting them together commands more than either. Genetically it’s a diluted black dog with tan points, which isn’t a difficult combination to produce. A blue tri from me is the same $700 as everything else I sell.

Every puppy I sell is $700, blue tri or otherwise, XL or pocket, male or female. Why the number is $700.

Health, specifically for this coat

Color dilution alopecia from the D locus. No merle risk unless merle is separately present.

It doesn’t happen to every diluted dog and plenty live their whole lives with perfect coats. It isn’t painful and not dangerous, but it’s permanent and it needs managing, and it attaches specifically to the coats carrying the biggest premiums.

Everything else is about the breed rather than the coat. The full picture, and how every coat compares.

I don’t screen or certify the parents and won’t claim I do. What I do is have every puppy examined by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic before it leaves, with the dates written down.
