Standard American Bully for Sale
The breed as the standard describes it, and the class that suits most households.
The standard American Bully is the breed’s reference point: 17 to 20 inches at the withers for a male, 50 to 80 pounds, heavily built without being extreme. Every other class is described in relation to it.
What standard means
Compact, muscular, blocky through the head and chest, on a frame of 17 to 20 inches for a male and 16 to 19 for a female. Heavier and wider than a classic on the same height. This is what the breed standard actually describes, and the other three classes are variations on it.
Why it suits most households
It’s big enough to have real presence and small enough to lift into a car. It fits a normal house without dominating it. It’s heavy enough to need lead training and not so heavy that a person of average strength can’t hold it. And it sits away from both extremes, so it carries neither the compression risk of a micro nor the mass loading of a heavy XL.
