Getting a puppy to Maine
At 2,700 to 2,900 miles, driving to Maine takes 4 days, which is a long time for a young dog. Most buyers this far out choose a flight nanny instead: a courier who flies with the puppy in the cabin, holds it the whole way, and hands it to you at arrivals.

The climate itself is kind to the breed. Long cold winters are comfortable for a heavy-coated dog and the summers are short and mild.
